East Boston Savings Bank (EBSB) is acutely aware of its civic and social responsibilities and endeavors to help people grow and prosper physically, emotionally and financially. Through monetary donations and via the Meridian Charitable Foundation, we support the activities of a wide variety of organizations in the area.

In addition, many employees devote their personal time and energy to groups and clubs that improve the standard of living in our communities. This generosity is showcased in our Annual Holiday Auction. Bank employees, officers, corporators, trustees and their friends and families donate and bid on the auction items. In 2006, $16,000 in proceeds was raised to benefit East Boston Social Centers, East Boston Crossroads, Haven from Hunger and Help for Abused Women and their Children (H.A.W.C).
