Employee Story: Carol Simpson, VP Branch Administration
Carol joined the bank in 1979 as a Teller and quickly advanced. She was promoted to Sales & Service Representative just two years later, and within five years of beginning her banking career she was made a Branch Manager. In the early '90's Carol became the bank's first Branch Administrator with responsibility for all of the bank's branches, and continues in that role today as a Vice Presiednt of the bank.
Carol's career story is one of hard work recognized and dedication rewarded. She's respected and admired not only at the bank, but also in the community, for her service to thousands of bank customers and to their neighborhoods. But the best thing about her job is her co-workers.
"They are like family to me," she said. "We all like each other. When I first started 24 years ago, there were fifty five employees and we all knew each other. Even though the Bank is much bigger now, we have kept a good balance as we've grown. The people who have come here from larger banks say they wouldn't leave EBSB for anything."
