Employee Story: Carol Simpson, Vice President, Branch Administration
After joining EBSB as a teller in 1979, Simpson quickly advanced in the bank. She was promoted to sales and service representative in 1981 and became a Branch Manager three years later. In 1993, Simpson was named Branch Administrator, a position that she still holds.
As Branch Administrator, Simpson is responsible for all of the bank's nine branches. On a daily basis she ensures that they are fully staffed and running smoothly. She also answers any questions that the individual branch managers might have.
Simpson said she "pretty much likes everything about working here," and the best thing about her job is her co-workers.
"They are like family to me," she said. "We all like each other. When I first started 25 years ago, there were 55 employees and we all knew each other. Even though the bank is much bigger now, we have kept a good balance as we've grown. The people who have come here from larger banks say they wouldn't leave EBSB for anything." |
