21st Century After School

Supporting a New Bookstore to the Learning for the 21st Century
We were happy to present the Learning for the 21st Century after-school enrichment program with a donation towards their new and highly anticipated bookstore, located at the Arthur T. Cummings School in Winthrop. The 21st Century program provides students with academic enrichment and other activities designed to complement students’ regular academic program. The bookstore will be a beneficial resource towards their Annual 40-Book Challenge, which both the students and the teachers greatly look forward to participating in every year.


East Boston Deep Freeze Hockey

East Boston Annual Deep Freeze Hockey Tournament
For another year in a row, we were the proud sponsors of the East Boston Annual Deep Freeze Hockey Tournament that took place on December 26th and 27th at the Porrazo Rink. The East Boston High School Jets were the hosts of this event in which all of the proceeds from the event benefitted the Boston Medical Center’s Cancer Care Center & Breast Cancer Support Services. We participated in a special tribute made to Carrie Brangiforte in honor of her mother Jacki Anthony, wife of Jets head coach Robert Anthony, whose years of dedication and commitment to East Boston High School and this event will forever be remembered. Congratulations Jets on winning the championship!

East Boston Citation

Supporting the East Boston Community and Being Recognized
We were proud to receive a Citation on behalf of the city’s House of Representatives for the recent donation we made towards the East Boston Community Soup Kitchen.

McCarthy School Fundraiser

Our Peabody McCarthy Elementary School Drive Was A Success
On Tuesday, December 13th, East Boston Savings Bank proudly donated a collection of games and toys towards the community donation drive held by the McCarthy Elementary School in Peabody, MA. The staff at the school were very grateful for the donation presented by VP, Branch Officer Anna Kulakowski and VP, Regional Retail Manager Maureen Gillis, on behalf of the Bank.

Harvest of Hope

Sponsoring Annual Harvest of Hope Fundraiser
We are proud to sponsor South Boston Community Health Center’s 16th Annual Harvest of Hope Fundraiser in benefit of the programs and services of the health Center. The South Boston Community Health Center is an invaluable resource for the residents of South Boston for primary and preventive medicine. It is the largest provider of health services in the community and has been a been full service health care facility serving South Boston since 1972.

We are proud sponsors of the Housing Families Inc. Gingerbread Housing Competition held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. As sponsors of this event, we were added to the list of the 2016 Gingerbread home owners, and was more than happy to display one of these fantastic pieces of holiday spirit in our Peabody branch location, throughout the holiday season. Peabody Girl Scout Troops Earn Savings and Finance Badge
We enjoyed a visit from our local Girl Scout Troops, who stopped by our Peabody Branch on Friday, October 7th to proudly earn their savings and finance badge. They interacted with our staff who answered all of the questions that they had about Banking along with a quick tour of the branch and its operations.

We were honored to take part in the Peabody Centennial Parade, held on October 2nd, as a grand part in the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the City of Peabody. This was quite the milestone for everyone who holds Peabody close to their hearts, including us, and we enjoyed being able to help make this celebration a success!

Successful Movie Night in West Roxbury
We enjoyed hosting another successful Movie Night for the local community of West Roxbury. The featured film was the “Minions” , and we gave out tons of free giveaways and free popcorn!


August Moon

We are proud to be involved in the new Forestdale Park Assisted Living & Memory Care building project, which was made official at the Groundbreaking ceremony held today at the future site of this new facility in Malden. Forestdale Park will provide a total of 80 units of senior housing and high quality, innovative to best support aging with dignity.

Supporting OneOrlando Fund
In support of local efforts to raise money for the victims of the Orlando tragedy, we were more than honored to present a donation to a local fundraising event, held this past Sunday at the Cathedral Station restaurant in South Boston, for the OneOrlando Fund. The event was very successful, resulting in a total amount of over $10,000 raised.

Winner at the Annual Bean Pot AACA Car Show
We were honored to be Trophy Winners of the Annual Bean Pot AACA Car show that was held this past Sunday on June 5th at the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline. This year, we were able to feature our new Mobile branch, which was well received by guests who attended the show. We look forward to participating in next year’s car show!

Supporting Beantown Softball League All-Star Games
We sponsored the Beantown Softball League All-Star Games last week on Boston Common. Founded in 1978, the Beantown Softball League is the largest athletic organization in New England open to LGBTQ people. Our own Brian Reis, Workforce Outreach Coordinator played on the Division 3/4 team sponsored by the Bank and Jonathan Towslee-VP, Branch Manager for the South End branch attended. The Bank's team won 18-6! Congratulations to Brian and the rest of the players for a fun game and festivities.

Garfield School

Beautification of the Garfield Schools
We had a fantastic time helping the Garfield Elementary & Middle School students plant flowers outside of their school last Wednesday June 8th. To help out with this extraordinary project, we generously donated 40 Rustic Life Gardening Tool Sets. I really enjoyed getting my hands dirty with the students.
