EBSB Presents a check to the Boys & Girls Club
We are proud to present a check towards the Boys & Girls Club's 7th Annual Barbeque Fundraiser on Thursday, August 31st at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Logan Airport. Danvers' Oldies Night

EBSB Participates in Danvers' Annual Oldies Night
East Boston Savings Bank enjoyed participating in the town of Danvers’ Annual Oldies Night, which was held on June 28th in Danvers Square. This annual event is organized by the Danvers Family Festival committee. We had a great time joining in on the festive celebration and had the opportunity to meet with local residents within the community and hand out goodie bags filled with summer fun giveaways. We greatly look forward to participating again next year!

Cradles to Crayons

EBSB Volunteers at Cradles To Crayons Giving Factory
East Boston Savings Bank was proud to volunteer their efforts towards the Cradles to Crayons 11th Annual “Ready for School” Backpack-A-Thon initiative at their Giving Factory in Brighton, MA. Employees of the Bank helped sort clothes, during a record breaking shift for a total of 256 children, along with representatives from Gradient Corp. To help alleviate the effects of poverty on school readiness, the Ready for School initiative provides local children in low-income and homeless situations with school supplies they need to be able to participate fully in class and do homework.

Immigrant Learning Center

EBSB Work Shop at the Immigrant learning Center
East Boston Savings Bank has partnered with the Immigrant Learning Center, located at 442 Main St. Malden in facilitating their “ Smart Financial Practices and Choices” Entrepreneur Workshop series at the Center. Representatives of the bank have been able to meet with students to educate them about the banking industry; saving money and budgeting; consumer and business lending products and the importance of having a good credit history.

Asian American Real Estate

EBSB Partners with Asian American Real Estate Association of America
East Boston Savings Bank is proud to partner with the Asian American Real Estate Association of America (AREAA Boston), in support of their various events and occasions. On June 19th, representatives of the Bank attended one of their local events in Allston, in which EBSB Residential Loan Officer, Kevin J. MacDonald was one of the featured guest. EBSB representatives also had the opportunity to interact with local real estate brokers and agents to answer any questions that they had about current products and hand out giveaways.

Boston Saves Program

EBSB Participates in the Urban League 6th Annual Jobs Rebuild Boston Career Fair
We were one of many organizations to participate in the Urban League 6th Annual Jobs Rebuild Boston Career Fair at Roxbury Community College. Representatives from the our Human Resources department were in attendance to answer any inquiries that visitors had in regards to current job openings, and provide any additional information requested. Boston Saves Program

EBSB Partners with the Boston Saves Program
East Boston Savings Bank is proud to continue their partnership with the Boston Public Schools and Mayor Martin J. Walsh on the Boston Saves Program. The account program was launched last year to aid in providing savings tools and resources towards college and future career training for all Boston Public Schools kindergarten (K2) students. Every Boston Saves account includes an automatic $50 starting deposit, which can be used towards an existing account or a new one. Most recently EBSB representatives visited the Harvard/Kent Elementary School, where they opened ten savings accounts and one checking account within the program, and had the opportunity to meet with parents to discuss various savings options for their child’s future college education.

Salem State University

EBSB Visits Salem State University
We were honored to take part in Salem State University’s Retiree Recognition Celebration on May 25th. We had the opportunity to meet the staff of this prestigious institution, hand out EBSB giveaways, as well as answer any questions that they had about the products and services we offer. DOT Day Parade

EBSB Participates in DOT Day Parade
We had a great time participating in the Annual Dorchester Day Parade on June 4th, to honor the town of Dorchester and the history of the many events it provided. The parade route began in Lower Mills and traveled along Dorchester Ave. into Savin Hill at the corner of Columbia Rd., for a total of 3.2 miles. Mayor Martin J. Walsh and many other local political constituents were in attendance to kick-off the eventful celebration. We had the opportunity to meet many neighborhood residents along the route and pass out fun EBSB giveaways. We greatly look forward to participating again in next year’s parade!

For another year in a row we were the proud sponsors of the annual 26th Danvers Soccer Invitational Tournament, hosted by the Danvers Youth Soccer Association on May 27th through the 29th . We had the opportunity to join the Danvers community for an exciting weekend of soccer games, fun events and great food. Danvers Youth Soccer is a volunteer organization committed to providing a superior town level soccer experience and providing long-term love for the game of soccer by all participants.

Visited the Gorman Fort Banks School in Winthrop

EBSB Visits Gorman Fort Banks School
We enjoyed our visit to the Gorman Fort Banks School in Winthrop on Tuesday May 23rd, where we were given the opportunity to speak with their 2nd Grade students about saving for their future, and connecting money to real world situations. We gave a presentation on the history of bartering and trading goods and explained how both processes evolved into the monetary forms we use to purchase goods today. We also did a brief overview of the transactions made through an ATM machine and how that process works. We also had the privilege of distributing EBSB piggy banks, crayons, saver coloring books, and a $5.00 coupon, which could be presented at any EBSB location to help students start a new Savings Account.

Bianco & Sons Inc

Bianco & Sons Inc Ribbon Cutting
Sausage maker, Bianco & Sons Inc. hosted the official ribbon-cutting for their new manufacturing facility in Medford on Tuesday, May 23rd.  East Boston Savings Bank provided $6.4 million in acquisition and construction financing, of the 29,200 SF building located at one Brainard Ave. Medford (former location of Hoff’s Bakery). The new facility will provide a more expansive and efficient layout for the company’s sausage production, and accommodate their entire operation.  Bianco & Sons Inc. was founded in 1960 by Joseph Bianco, Sr. and continues to be a family-owned business, Joseph Bianco, Jr. (second generation) and his two sons, Lewis and Joseph III and daughter Francesca.   The company previously operated out of a 4,000 SF facility in Revere, MA for the past 57 years and officially began their operations out if this new facility on May 3rd
