For another year in a row, we are proud to be one of the main sponsors for the Adult Trivia Bee, held on March 25th, in support of The Bridge: A School/Community Partnership, at the Melrose Memorial Hall. The Bridge is a non-profit organization that recruits , screens, trains and places volunteers in the Melrose Public Schools. All proceeds from the Trivia Bee are important to the operation of The Bridge and the support of the school volunteers.

Supporting DotHouse with Sponsorship Check
We were proud to present DotHouse Health with a sponsorship check towards their first annual fundraising event, DotFest, a community carnival that will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 6:30 pm. It will be a celebration of community life within Dorchester’s Field Corner neighborhood and DotHouse Health’s success as one of the best community-based health and social services organizations in the City of Boston.

Partnering with BUILD Greater Boston Entrepreneurship Workshop
We were proud to partner with BUILD Greater Boston for their Entrepreneurship workshop at the Community Academy of Science and Health in Dorchester. Our Chairman, CEO and President Richard Gavegnano consulted with 10th grade students on their student-run business ventures to share lessons learned from his career, along with giving them advice on how to fine-tune their business plans and identify ways to take their businesses to the next level.
Lending a Hand to Harrington Elementary School in Lynn
With the generous help of our employees and customers, we were able to gather two full boxes of toiletries and art supplies donations for the EJ Harrington School Student Council. The donation items will be sent to children living in an orphanage in Afghanistan. Thank you to all of those that contributed towards our donation drive.

Sponsoring Codman Square Winter Farmer's Market
The winter farmer market in Codman Square had a successful opening and we are proud to be a sponsor of the event. Mayor Martin Walsh and Councilor Andrea Campbell were at the opening ceremony. The indoor Farmers Market opens every Saturday from 10am -1pm in the Great Hall at the Codman Square Health Center.

Supporting a New Bookstore to the Learning for the 21st Century
We were happy to present the Learning for the 21st Century after-school enrichment program with a donation towards their new and highly anticipated bookstore, located at the Arthur T. Cummings School in Winthrop. The 21st Century program provides students with academic enrichment and other activities designed to complement students’ regular academic program. The bookstore will be a beneficial resource towards their Annual 40-Book Challenge, which both the students and the teachers greatly look forward to participating in every year.
East Boston Annual Deep Freeze Hockey Tournament
For another year in a row, we were the proud sponsors of the East Boston Annual Deep Freeze Hockey Tournament that took place on December 26th and 27th at the Porrazo Rink. The East Boston High School Jets were the hosts of this event in which all of the proceeds from the event benefitted the Boston Medical Center’s Cancer Care Center & Breast Cancer Support Services. We participated in a special tribute made to Carrie Brangiforte in honor of her mother Jacki Anthony, wife of Jets head coach Robert Anthony, whose years of dedication and commitment to East Boston High School and this event will forever be remembered. Congratulations Jets on winning the championship!

Our Peabody McCarthy Elementary School Drive Was A Success
On Tuesday, December 13th, East Boston Savings Bank proudly donated a collection of games and toys towards the community donation drive held by the McCarthy Elementary School in Peabody, MA. The staff at the school were very grateful for the donation presented by VP, Branch Officer Anna Kulakowski and VP, Regional Retail Manager Maureen Gillis, on behalf of the Bank.

The South Boston Community Health Center is an invaluable resource for the residents of South Boston for primary and preventive medicine. It is the largest provider of health services in the community and has been a been full service health care facility serving South Boston since 1972.
