How are my deposits insured through FDIC/DIF?

As a member of both the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF), our bank provides full insurance for its customers' deposits and accrued interest without limit or exception. Each depositor is insured by the FDIC to at least $250,000. All deposits above the FDIC insurance amount are insured by the DIF.

Can I make banking transactions at any branch?

Yes, you can access your account(s) at any branch regardless of where your account was opened.

Can I make banking transactions through the mail?

Yes, you can mail in your transactions to East Boston Savings Bank, P. O. Box 101, South Boston, MA 02127. We will process your transaction promptly and mail you back a receipt.

Are there any ATM Fees?

Account holders can use EBSB ATMs free of charge. Customers also have free access to over 55,000 ATMs using the Allpoint ATM Network. You can download the Allpoint ATM Network locator app free at Google Play Store or the App Store. Withdrawals done on any other ATMs will generate a fee.

What if I lose a money order or bank check?

Lost or stolen money orders should be reported to MoneyGram at 800-654-5920 or www.moneygram.com.
Lost or stolen bank checks should be reported to the branch the check was purchased. Bank checks cannot be stopped until 90 days after the check was purchased. 

How do I change my ATM/Debit card PIN number?

ATM/Debit card PIN numbers can be changed at any branch. PIN numbers can also be changed by calling Customer Service Center (800-657-3272) to request a PIN mailer.

How can I make transfers between accounts?

Deposit account and loan transfers can be made through Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Telephone Banking.

What is Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking allows you to view account information, pay bills, transfer funds, deposit checks, locate ATMs and branches and receive alerts from your mobile device.

What is required to enroll in Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking is available to all EBSB Online Banking account holders. Our Mobile Banking App can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store or the App Store.

Does Mobile Banking cost anything?

No. EBSB Mobile Banking is a complimentary service that we provide to our customers. However, message and data rates established by your mobile carrier may apply.

Is Mobile Banking safe?

Yes. EBSB's Mobile Banking is protected with state-of-the-art security technology. No identifiable personal information, such as your account number, will be stored on your device.

What is the process for requesting subordination?

Subordinations must be requested in writing to the loan department. The request must be accompanied by the application, approval, title commitment and appraisal. There is a fee for this request.

How do I request a payoff?

Payoff requests must be faxed to the payoff department at 978-977-2886.

How do I request the homeowners insurance be included in the escrow?
